| General Forum Rules |
1. Obey the Habtips Forum rules Breaking the forum rules could get you banned for some time or get banned permanently 2. Obey the Habbo way Do NOT break the habbo way in anyway. That means no swearing, no racism etc. 3. Respect other people Don't be mean to people just because they need help or are not very good at something (i.e. web design / graphics). 4. Do NOT insult anyone at Habtips Forum This includes staff, admins, users, VVIPs, VIPs and banned members. 5. Don't give out or ask for other people's emails Lots of trouble can be caused just by giving your email out. Keep it private just like your password. 6. Don't sell or buy Habbo accounts This is against the Habbo way meaning this is against our forum rules as well. 7. Don't beg/ask for free furni/rares This also includes asking for donations for special occasions like your birthday. 8. Do NOT accuse anyone as a hacker or thief! This just starts fights and arguments. 9. Do not talk about or link people to sites against the Habbo way This includes scripting, hacking programs and 'free' furni sites. 10. Do not advertise any sites at all in threads or personal messages! Obvious reasons, this is a Habtips site and we don't want people linking to any other websites unless there is a purpose e.g. The link offers help to a member. We have given you space in your profile to advertise websites and they are also allowed in signatures, We feel that this is fair and so you should not advertise elsewhere. 11. Do not post links to other sites/fansites that have anything offensive about any sites or have rude content/images. This forum is for habbo and habbo has players at the age of 13+ and these type of websites are not aimed for people under the age of 18. 12. Do not put more than 25 letters in the location profile box This creates a horizontal scroll bar on the forum which is very annoying. 13. Do not have a user title which causes a scroll bar when you send a private message This also creates a horizontal scroll bar which is very annoying to everyone. 14. Do not give out any personal details about yourself or others This is against the Habbo way and the forum rules. Keep your personal details, personal. 15. Do not talk about adult topics There are a lot of young viewers at Habtips. Adult topics include but at not limited to discussions concerning sexual acts. 16. Don't pretend to be some one your not! That includes pretending to be an admin, habbo moderator, habtips moderator etc! 17. Do not spam on the forum There is a forum for spamming which can be found here. Spam includes random threads/posts and pointless threads/posts. 18. Do not argue with other users Whilst all users are entitled to have freedom of will, we request that users do not cause or get involved in arguments. Feel free to debate within reason, but don't let it get out of hand. If you are caught causing an argument you can get a five day ban, and if you are involved in anyway you are also entitled to a three day ban. 19. Youtube and video links You may link to Youtube videos in the YouTube Forum, as long as they are not offensive to other users. Any offensive videos will result in a ban. 20. Personal Pictures You may post pictures of yourself within posts and signatures and avatars as long as they are appropriate and you are fully dressed (No Topless). |

| 1. Don't send Personal Messages to people that have told you not to This is just annouying and you would not like it if someone did it to you. 2. Do NOT use Personal Messages for advertising Do not advertise your websites via PM, this is very annoying. Habtips is not the place to do this. 3. Do not send threats or problematic personal messages This will not be tollerated and will get you banned. |
| Thread Rules |
| 1. If your a moderator or a VIP/VVIP do not move your thread into places you know is wrong. You may loose your rights to move threads if you do this. (Public announcements, elite alterations, competitions etc are good examples). 2. Do not pointless post Don't post 1 or 2 word posts like "lol" or "nice one". Try putting some depth into your posts/threads to make them more interesting to read, remember its quality not quantity! 3. Do not double post We will warn you a few times, after that you may get a temporary ban for a few days/weeks. 4. Do not undo moderators work Do not edit what a moderator has done, This means don't unlock a locked post. Don't unstick the stickied post etc. 5. Do not abuse the "report post" button This is here for people that like helping the moderators/admins. Only use this if it hasn't been sorted by a moderator. Only use it if a post/thread has a lot of swearing or is breaking our forum rules, do not hesitate to use the feature if you are not sure! 6. Do not comment on people breaking the rules This is the moderators and admins job. |
| Reputation Rules |
| 1. Do not give out pointless Rep If everyone did this, the rep system would have no meaning and would be pointless. 2. Do not ask/beg for Rep People will rep you when they think you deserve it so dont ask for it. 3. Do not leave rude comments in the Rep comments section If the user(s) tell an admin and find out your abusing the Reputation comments, you may get banned. |
